BURNET - Authorities are searching for a missing off-duty Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper who was last seen Monday in Burnet County.
DPS officials say Wesley Chenault, 50, of Spicewood Tex., was out on a small boat checking fishing lines Monday evening, however, it was discovered several hours later that the boat had floated to shore with no one aboard.
Officials with the DPS, LCRA and Texas Parks and Wildlife are currently searching for Chenault on the northside of Lake Travis in the Turkey Bend area, about 40 miles northwest of Austin.
