TEMPLE - A three-alarm fire burned through the First Baptist Church at 102 West Barton Avenue in Temple Tuesday morning.
Firefighters were called to the scene around 5:20 a.m.
Temple fire spokesman, Thomas Pechal, said there is great concern the structure of the building will not hold up.
The church's website is reporting that no one was inside the church at the time of the fire and no one was injured.
There will be a church prayer meeting at the Youth Center, The Edge, Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
