MARLIN - The serial rapist who has been terrorizing elderly women in Central Texas has officially been linked to an attack in Falls County.
Falls County Sheriff Ben Kirk announced Monday that DNA gathered from the October 10th home invasion and sexual assault in a home just outside of Marlin matches that of the suspected Serial Rapist.
Kirk says the crime committed in his county can now be linked to similar assaults in Bell, Lavaca and Leon Counties.
"Area residents are urged to be especially observant and take precautions to secure their homes. They should consider leaving additional lighting on at night and make certain that their homes, garages and vehicles are securely locked," Kirk said.
