FORT HOOD - A 23-year-old soldier assigned to III Corps has died from injuries sustained when enemy forces attacked his vehicle with an improvised explosive device.
The Department of Defense reports Spc. Brandon K. Steffey, of Salut Sainte Marie, Mich., was died Sunday following the attack Afghanistan's Laghman province.
He was assigned to the 178th Military Police Detachment, 89th Military Police Brigade, III Corps, Fort Hood, Texas.
