WACO - A former Central Texas middle school teacher who claimed she was raped by a 14-year-old student was sentenced to 10 years in prison after a plea deal Monday.

Investigators learned that Tara Hodges actually had a two month long sexual relationship with that student during Spring of 2008.

She pleaded guilty to 10 counts of sexually assaulting a student.

According to the arrest affidavit, Hodges, a former teacher at Brazos Middle School in Waco, drove the 14-year-old boy to her apartment on Lake Shore Drive, smoked marijuana and had sex with the minor on at least 10 different occasions.
