AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - An attorney for Texas linebacker Sergio Kindle says the senior was treated for a concussion after crashing his car into an Austin apartment building last week.
Kindle's attorney, Brian Roark, says the crash happened June 24. Kindle was either sending or receiving a text message when he lost control of the car. The crash caused about $8,700 damage and no one inside was hurt.
Kindle was checked by team doctors and told he had a concussion but did not have to be hospitalized.
Austin police say they have an incident report but no charges have been filed. A university spokesman says the team was glad no one else was seriously injured.
Kindle had 10 sacks last season. In 2007, he missed the first three games while serving a suspension for a drunken driving arrest.
