COPPERAS COVE - It was quite a scene in front of a Copperas Cove Fire Station Wednesday morning as Agents with the Drug Enforcement Agency arrived to arrest a firefighter.
DEA officals have confirmed to News Channel 25 that Larry Woodard was on duty when he was arrested.
Woodard is alleged to have been trafficking steroids and Oxycontin. He is being held on $25,000 bond for charges conspiracy to possess a mixture of anabolic steroids and Hydrocodone.
The DEA says the arrest is part of a operation being carried out in more than 20 states today. The DEA reports more than 50 people have been arrested so far and more arrests are expected.
According to the Texas Commission on Fire Protection, Woodard has been with the Copperas Cove Fire Department since April 2007
