Man Arrested for Shooting at Helicopter, Setting Fire to Home

DPS Troopers in a helicopter exchanged gunfire with a man on the ground in Hill County overnight. It started when a man allegedly set his neighbor's home on fire near the intersection of Highway 171 and FM 67. Hill County Sheriff's deputies and firefighters were called to the scene. Citizens of McGregor lost all water services overnight after a large water main break. It happened at the intersection of 10th and Monroe. A large amount of stored water was lost from the system as crews struggled to cap the leak overnight. The leak was fixed this morning and the water system should be back online by noon Tuesday.
